AC Shadows Introduces Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine sect.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an special katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Special arms

Newest Free Story Update
This update also adds the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous quest teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature abilities: Naoe introduces a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
